A Wishlist For The Class of 2015

A Wishlist For The Class of 2015

Graduation, Class of 2015

This month high school and college graduations will be taking place all over the country. And at each of these ceremonies, various speakers will be stepping up to the podium to impart their wisdom and well wishes to the graduatessome of whom will be going off to college; others, who will be going off to begin their careers.

Here at MyPath101, we’d like to wish all graduates — both high school and college — the best of luck as you end this phase of your life and prepare to begin the next. We’re so proud of all of you and all that you've accomplished over the past four years. And if you’ve been a MyPath101 member, we hope that we’ve been able to put you on the right path and help prepare you for whatever challenges the future holds.

That said, we’d like to send you off with a few final words of wisdom…Irish-blessing style:

May you always have a list of S.M.A.R.T goals you’re working toward…

May your social media accounts be free of incriminating and unflattering photos…

May you have a rock-solid LinkedIn profile that highlights your skills, volunteer activities, internships, and endorsements from respected members of the community…

May you surround yourself with people who can get you where you want to be in life…

May you celebrate your “Freak Factor” and leverage the things that make you uniquely you…

May you learn from your failures and be humble in your successes…

May you become a time-management ninja and make the most of each gift of a day…

May you address all job inquiries to a specific individual and not “To Whom it May Concern”…

May you always remember to think before you Tweet, or post, or hit ‘send’

May you, like, learn how to stop saying “like”, like, in every thing you, like, say…

May you learn how to make meaningful, authentic, mutually beneficial connections

May you seek out ways to give back in school, at work, and in your community…

May you find the summer internship of your dreams

May you learn how to look professional — both online and and in your physical appearance — and maximize your hiring potential…

May you find the tribe that’s right for you

And last but not least, may you use these precious years to figure out who you are and what you want to be, so that you can go on to live a long, happy, successful, and fulfilling life!

Congratulations, graduates, from all of us here at MyPath101!
